Physical Direct Communication Examples

IMG_8831 2.JPG

This artifact is a form of direct communication from one romantic partner to another. This artifact is also engaging with the long tradition of sending notes to loved ones to express how they feel about each other. This particular note does so by referring to struggles in the relationship and talking about how they still love their partner and would not want to be with anyone else.

Living Room Whiteboard October.jpg

This artifact is a whiteboard used to communicate between four college roommates. It is being counted as a direct form of communication because its audience is limited to just the four roommates who share the apartment dorm together. The main purpose of the whiteboard is to track who needs to clean for the week, but the roommates have also used it to express birthday wishes to Gen, one of the residents.
