Physical Broad Communication Examples

Special Event.jpg

This artifact is an example of communicating with a broad audience because the bookstore it is used at, Commonground, uses the sign during special events to direct customers to use a different parking lot. Therefore, while the audience is directed at specific people, it can be quite large at times, especially since Commonground reuses the sign for different events, creating a broad audience that the sign is communicating information to.

While this flyer is technically directed at a specific person, it has been categorized for the purposes of this exhibit as a broader communication because of its placement in a public place. Since the creator did not know who was responsible for the art piece that had been left there, they had to communicate with a larger audience to find the specific person.
