Question 1: How often do you use the emojis reflected in your “frequently used?”

"In general, I don’t use emojis often within my texts. I will use them more often on Snapchat (because I feel like it has more of a creative environment). Out of all 30 emojis that fall within my “frequently used” tab, I use the same 5-7 emojis on an actual frequent basis."

Question 2: Pick three of your “frequently used” emojis and tell us what they mean to you and in what context you use them.

"Thumbs up – I use this emoji in the medium-dark skin tone because I like that it reflects my physical appearance. I like this emoji because it’s straight to the point and doesn’t need to accompany text."

"Face With Rolling Eyes – I have a sarcastic tone in many of my conversations, which makes it difficult for others to know when I am being serious or not. I use this emoji to accompany texts where I would like to convey that I am slightly bothered or annoyed. This is the case with more light hearted situations – in a more serious situation if I were very upset, I would never use emojis as I feel that it takes away from the seriousness."

"Sweat Droplets – I use the sweat droplets to express excitement or satisfaction because for me this emoji resembles ejaculation (versus sweat droplets). This emoji allows me to express passion while showing my sense of humor."

Question 3: Looking at your “frequently used” emojis, what would you say they are communicating about where you are in life/what you’re currently going through?

"Because I don’t use emojis in serious conversations, I don’t think my frequently used emojis convey anything about the stage I am at in life. I think they communicate my personality – being my sarcastic, crude sense of humor."

Question 4: Are these emojis an accurate representation of you at this moment? Why or why not?

"I believe so. My take on life is like my take on emojis – entertaining, but not that serious."
