This artifact is a Presidential advertisement used by Abraham Lincoln used in his 1860 campaign used to advertise cigarettes.

These are some of the earliest U.S. Presidential campaign advertisements. Notice how deliberate attacks were made using cartoons in the national spotlight and how Abraham Lincoln partenered with a cigarette munufacturer to promote is candidacy.
