QUESTIONS FOR CHELSEA CLINTON
Why did you decide to write this book?
What do you hope it will accomplish?
Can you tell us about the process of writing this book?
Tell us an interesting detail or two about that process: for example, how long did it take you to create a first draft?
What was the time frame for writing this book?
Who, if anyone, provided feedback on a draft, and what use did you make of the feedback?
What were your processes of revision?
What were your 1-2 biggest learning experience(s) or surprise(s) throughout the book's composing process?
More generally, what kinds of writing do you do?
Take us through a typical day. What kinds of reading, writing, and speaking do you do, both
professionally and personally?
What kinds of writing do you like best, and why?
As a writer, what do you hope to accomplish?
Researchers know that writers have rituals: what are some of yours?
I understand you were a reading and writing tutor as an undergrad at Stanford. Can you tell us about that experience and what it helped you learn?
You're the mother of a one-year old. As you look forward to your daughter's schooling, what kind of experience do you hope Charlotte to have?
You do a lot of work to promote global health and economic issues. What role does literacy play in those efforts?
How engaged are you in social media, either as a reader or a producer? (If not, why not? If so, in what way?)
<underlined>Thanks so much.<underlined>
Beside the title of this list in pen ink are two handwritten notes, which read as follows:
