"An Old Bear"

Dublin Core

Description

This artifact is a decorative sign made by Cat Bellew. The distressed cream-colored sign reads "An Old Bear Lives Here With His Honey" and has an illustration of a teddy bear in a blue hat sitting next to a bee hive.

The submitter offered the following story about the sign's creation: "There is a 9 year age difference between my parents, and so they always joke that Mom is the young cub and Dad the old bear. So, Mom made this sign to play on that family joke. For a while, the sign hung on the front porch, but now it is in the mud room."
