"From the kitchen of Connie Ortolano
Sfingi recipe #1
1/2 cp Oleo, 1 cp water, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/8 tsp sale, 1 cp flour, 4 eggs 1 tbl sp whisky or wine
*Combine oleo, salt, & water bring to a boil. Seperately (sic) combine flour & baking powder, add to pan until dough comes away from side. Remove from heat & let cool. Add beaten eggs one at a time & drop into oil heated to 375 degrees"

"Sfingi #2: 1/2 cp shortening, 2 tbsp whiskey or wine, 6 tbsp sugar, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamin (sic), 2 cp water, 2 cp flour, 3 tsp baking powder, 8 eggs (seems high)
* Combine whiskey, cinnamin (sic), water, & sugar bring to a boil. Seperately (sic) combine flour & baking powder Add until dough comes away from the side. Take off of heat & cool 2 minutes. Add beaten eggs one at a time & drop into 375 degree oil."
