January: The Trickle down.

Twitter users try and use their accounts to encourage people to take the Coronavirus seriously as during this time in January the severity of things is unclear to the general public. Many of these tweets take humorous approaches in order to connect with a lot of people without driving them away. It was important to maintain connection and understanding so that people would be more likely to act correctly.

By January, there are racist sentiments made toward certain racial and ethnic groups due to an unfounded belief about the Coronavirus and its origin. There is a lot of discussion on the matter and hundreds of tweets fighting back against the hate.

Things were starting to align and look grim to a majority of people. Something felt off.
