We Will Rebuild: Recovering from Tragedy
While there was a mass of everyday writing amassing in the form af combatting further danger in the commnuity, it is important to note that the disaster of Hurricane Michael was also addressed in another way: with a feeling of hope. Even the most damaged of areas had everyday writing that wasn't just warning signs against incoming looters. Through the use of everyday writing, we can see that the people of Panama City were already looking towards the future.
As I drove throughout Panama City, I noticed that busines owners were already prepared to keep their businesses running regardless of the damages. It had only been a few weeks since an entire city was leveled, and these people were already prepared to move on to greater times. People stayed hopeful and chose to begin rebuilding the spirit of the city no matter the damages.
