Appeal to Nationalism

This is a response to a line from America's national anthem, and specifically the line that refers to the United States as the "land of the free, and home of the brave". It is meant to question whether or not people really feel free here with all that is happening to restrict rights. 

This is a quote from the Statue of Liberty National Monument. This statue is supposed to be symbolic of America, and on the placard of the statue is the poem "The New Colossus" by Emma Lazarus, a descendent of Jewish immigrants, in 1883. This is a quote from that poem. It reveals that we have stood for taking in people as being a home, and has been brought up many times to reveal the hypocrisy that would be closing borders to certain countries.
