Foreword to Bushido: A Samurai PVE Guide

While likely much easier to understand than many of the other artifacts relating to Final Fantasy XIV, this artifact of everyday writing still serves an important purpose in the exhibit. What this covers is the collaborative spirit of the community. While this article is just the foreword, the guide itself is 18 pages long, with a complete changelog at the end. All of this is done by players of the game, for other players of the game, for free.

This guide was pulled from the Discord server of “The Balance,” a website dedicated to resources for Final Fantasy XIV. You can find the link to The Balance’s website in the related materials, and you can see even more of the tremendous effort put forward by and for other players of Final Fantasy XIV.

The original writer of this guide, Aureum Sanguinis, as well as the later revisors, Zombii (the person who wrote this specific foreword) and Boxer, deserve immense credit for the level of effort they put into writing, formatting, and maintaining this guide for other members of the community, especially noting that it is targeted at newer players. To write an effective guide, one has to understand the ins and outs of the job, and to simplify it enough to explain complex game structures to newer players is a difficult task that even some academics struggle with.
