Fundraisers

The first thing that people may think about when it comes to everyday writing is that it's used for more personal reasons and are unexpansive. But really, everyday writing is what gets messages out there and the masses engaged. Fundraising is necessary to keep communities alive, involved, and proactive.

Holidays are the perfect opportunity to host something and Greek organizations typically host fundraisers for their chapters so that they can fund trips, events, and other things that they may host. They also fundraise for their philanthropies to donate or host an event in support. Many Greek organizations use social media to promote their fundraisers, selling things that correlate with a holiday or an event.

Some organizations use a play on words (slide 1) to make their fundraiser fun. Sig Roses is meant to sound like SigRho, the organization's nickname. They also used Valentine's day to make the fundraiser more meaningful to buy.

Some organizations use pop culture to make their titles. The artifact here (slide 2) uses fruit ninja, a popular game, as a familiar way for their audience to be more engaged with the post and contribute to the fundraiser.

One can't go wrong going back to their childhood for inspiration. In one artifact (slide 3) The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is referenced to make the creative title "The Sweet like of FSU aKDPhi." Readers get excited with these references and may just be more encouraged to buy something.
