Events

It's not an organization if they don't have events, and the organizations in FSU's Multicultural Greeks host lots of events. It's important to stay involved on college campuses, they encourage people to socialize and learn something new.

Some of the biggest events hosted by the MGC organizations are their probates, also known as new member presentations, where once or twice a year these sororities and fraternities reveal their newest members. Organizations will announce when and where these happen on their pages and other organizations will go to support and welcome the new members of their community. The artifacts seen here (slides 1 and 2) are some examples of these posters, representing their organization and new line.

The council also hosts events for all organizations to get together and socialize. These events might include game nights, movies, organization presentations, and other things. In their posters, they include the times and locations, creatively representing a theme and using everyday writing to encourage people to attend. In these artifacts (slide 3), these things are all communicated and it's a great example of how writing is arranged to show how many events are presented in one poster.

It's important to keep track of all the things that you do, and in organizations like these, there is a lot to keep track of. There are things to keep in mind when it comes to ideas to bring up, collaborating with other organizations, and things to buy. In this artifact (slide 4) it can be seen how some members keep track of everything, using resources like Notion to stay organized.

Of course, often times they host a whole series of events, fundraisers, and even socials all in a week. They promote these on their social media using colors and symbols representative of the organization and announce the days that people should plan to attend and support. The artifact here (slide 5) is a great example of this, using green and sunflowers to promote their "Week of Illumination."
