Pop-Museums are a recent trend that you will find so much of on Instagram. The most popular that you might find is the Museum of Ice Cream. These types of museums look like a lot of fun, but they typically exist mostly as a photo-spot; not used for informing and not used for thinking, but mostly just used for fun and thats okay! We all need a little fun in our lives, right?

When going through the museum tag on Instagram, I scrolled past so many photos like the ones on display here. These photos always feature a person and their captions always pertain to what they are posing with in the picture. When creators choose a the words they want to say about these photos, they want it to be cute and clever. Depending on what their prop is, coming up with a clever caption can be a hit or miss—so they have to really think on and put a lot of thought into what they write. Everyday writing is contextual and Instagram users are always conscious of the context in which they are writing/posting in—even if it's about a museum of ice cream.
