Aisha L (Obtaining a Bachelor's in English: EWM)
This student prefers electronic notes on her iPad because a lot of her classes focus on remediation, annotation, and identification. She prefers to type her notes in class, then she “handwrites” them a second time. Most of her classes are discussion based, so she types out everything that is said in her classes and the different opinions brought up by her classmates. After, she picks out recurring themes and important information to record for her notes. Because most of her class evaluations are based on identifying properties of mise-en-page and explaining herself, she finds it best to have records of varying opinions so she can have options on how to present an argument.
