This student takes meticulous longhand notes. As a behavioral neuroscience major, most of her coursework is based on memorization and retaining that information. She finds handwritten notes to be more effective because she must be an active participant in her notetaking. In the past, she found herself copying ad pasting texts from lectures and didn’t believe that she was retaining any of the information she was recording. She was so focused on making everything aesthetically pleasing that she wasn’t focusing on the content that was important. Therefore, she is a staunch believer in longhand notes and refuses to touch a computer unless it’s to turn in digital assignments.
