Description
This artifact is Monica Rueda's photo of a sign on the sidewalk, made of sidewalk chalk. The sign advertises a meeting at the FSU Reservation.
The submitter provided the following about the artifact’s history: "I just happened to come across it while walking back from class. This chalk advertisement was one of the few I have seen on campus (since it is only the summer term) but I am expecting there will be more in the Fall and Spring terms. One thing I find interesting about this particular artifact is how it is written using different colors of chalk. I think that it makes it really stand out from the concrete as well as from the other chalk writings that I have seen that were either in one color or did not have any artwork."

Visual Text
The words in the sign are written with three different colors of sidewalk chalk: "V89" is written in blue, "RADI-O-LYMPICS" is in Pink, and the supplementary information is in yellow. There are 5 rings illustrated on the sidewalk sign colored in pink and yellow with green rims. The rings are reminiscent of the Olympics logo.
Placement of Sign
Chalked onto the sidewalk space near the Diffenbaugh building on Florida State University's main campus.
