#JusticeForBradsWife

When Bradley Reid’s wife, Nanette Reid, was inexplicably fired from Cracker Barrel after 11 years of faithful service, Reid had only one question: why? On his birthday, March 7th 2017, Reid asked Cracker Barrel’s Facebook page why his wife was fired. While Reid never actually got an answer, a now-deleted Facebook post by comedian Amiri King demanding restitution for Reid’s wife ensured that opportunistic internet trolls would latch onto the so-called grave injustice and troll the restaurant chain for weeks on end. Many saw King’s Facebook post and wrote under the hashtag #JusticeForBradsWife, standing in solidarity with Nanette. Select artifacts for this exhibit include people going so far as to quote-tweet the official Cracker Barrel twitter account, make photographic edits to Cracker Barrel’s logo, and the Evansville, Indiana police department staging a photograph for their social media accounts.
