Comedy seems to be the default in terms of commenting on videos or social media posts. Already indulging in a form of entertainment, social media users try to expand the joy of consumption by leaving another bread crumb of entertainment in the comment sections. This is capable of coming in a variety of different ways, whether it is highlighting an underappreciated portion of a video, providing whitty input or perhaps even sharing a personal experience. These comedic comments tend to rise to the top as everyone enjoys humor, even those that may skid through the comments for just a few seconds.
