This artifact is a screenshot of an email composed by John Gilchrist, the submitter's father, to William Gilchrist and Joan Gilchrist (mother) in reference to an article about how to be more patient in the age of instant gratification. He includes a note that says "It's normal to want to see immediate results--but you can fight that impulse" and the link to the article.

The submitter provided the following about the artifact's history:
The artifact is a screenshot from my iPhone of my personal email. Something that cannot be seen in the screenshot is my dad’s electronic signature along with his contact information. Although the screenshot was taken at 8:55 the actual email was sent on March 18, 2016 at 7:56 am. The link in the email is about an article pertaining the current generations obsession with instant gratification.The artifact was originally composed on my dads mobile phone if you look at the handle in the bottom of the picture. He included the message “It’s normal to want to see immediate results – but you can fight that impulse”. He also includes the title of the article How to Be More Patient in the Age of Instant Gratification. The email composed by my dad was sent and received by my mothers and my email address.
